Professional training

There are 8 vocational training institutions of the Nyíregyháza Vocational Training Center in the city. In addition, 2 other vocational training institutions are under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. Universities

There are 3 higher education institutions in Nyíregyháza, the largest of which is the University of Nyíregyháza. The university, which consists of 12 institutions, currently has almost 4,000 students. These institutions offer more than 80 undergraduate and master’s degrees, including agricultural engineering, food engineering, economic informatics, and engineering informatics.

It operates dual training for many undergraduate courses, providing training at professionally qualified companies. In the case of dual training, the participating company also formally teaches the students during the training in a pre-determined way, closely related to the curriculum of the higher education institution.
